The "comeback": 78 years after Caruso's dead, an expert team of the austrian broadcasting corporation (ORF) employed equally sophisticated and complex techniques to restore the original shellac recordings of his unique voice with loving care and utmost professionalism. In 1999, the Vienna RSO accompanies Caruso's original recordings dating from a period between 1906 and 1920.
